The work we get called for
Storefront glass
Most broken storefronts don't need new framing. If the aluminum around the glass is straight and sound, we order tempered glass cut for your opening and set it in the frame you already have. Once it's in and the sealant cures, you'd never know anything happened to the front of the shop.
Security glass
Some windows just keep getting tested. Laminated security glass is what we suggest for those: it cracks when it's hit, but it stays in one piece in the frame, so the opening stays closed until we come swap the panel.
Door glass
Entry doors take more knocks than any other glass in the building. We replace the glass in commercial aluminum doors and entries with the door staying right where it hangs, so it opens, closes, and locks the way it always has.
Emergency board-up
When glass breaks at night or on a weekend, the first job is closing the hole. We cut plywood to the opening and fasten it cleanly, which keeps the weather and the curious out and lets you keep trading while the replacement glass is on order.
A few things worth knowing

We measure at your shop and put the number in writing.
Five stars on Google
Worth a read before you call. Other owners tell it better than we can.
One crew, start to finish
The crew that boards you up is the crew that comes back with the glass.
The emergency line
Nights and weekends included.
"I have used Clear Works for several jobs now and each time I walk away confident the work is going to be done efficiently and right... their experience helps troubleshoot possible pitfalls and alternative solutions."

Where the trucks go
We're based in SE Portland, and commercial calls take us all over the metro: retail stores, restaurants, salons, offices, and whatever else has glass facing a sidewalk.
"...on time, efficient, kind and great communicators."

Questions owners ask us
Can you replace just the glass, or does the whole frame come out?
Usually just the glass. Commercial aluminum framing tends to outlive several rounds of glass, and as long as yours is straight and undamaged, the new panel goes right into it. If the frame itself is the problem, you'll hear that from us at the estimate, along with what fixing it would involve.
How fast can you secure a broken storefront?
Call as soon as you find it, whatever hour that is. Board-ups jump to the front of the line because an open storefront can't sit, and the emergency line runs nights and weekends. Once the plywood is up, the pressure is off and the glass replacement runs on an ordinary schedule.
Will insurance cover it?
Most commercial policies cover glass broken in a break-in, though plate glass sometimes lives under its own endorsement, so it's worth a quick call to your agent. Take photos before anyone cleans up, and hold onto them. Our written estimate gives your adjuster a clear number to work with.
What does it cost?
Every opening is a little different, so we measure before we quote. The number depends on the kind of glass, the size of the opening, whether you want a security upgrade, and whether the work happens after hours or on a scheduled visit. The estimate itself costs nothing.
How long until the new glass is in?
Most jobs run in two visits: one to secure the opening and measure, one to install. How long sits between them depends on the glass your storefront takes, and you'll have the schedule in hand before any work starts.
Is a replacement a good time to upgrade to security glass?
It's the best time. The opening is already getting new glass, and laminated goes in the same appointment as standard. Ask when we measure and we'll quote it both ways so you can compare.
