Glass Services in Portland

Glass holds a lot of jobs in this city, and a small shop ends up touching most of them. In one week the schedule can carry a cracked bedroom pane, a storefront waiting on a board-up, a shower enclosure ready for its final measure, and a deck trading wood pickets for glass panels. House calls make up the biggest share of that schedule, and they're the work we plan everything else around, with storefronts and small businesses close behind.

This page is the short version. Every service below has its own page with the full detail, and if you'd rather skip the reading altogether, the phone works fine: (503) 887-8329.

Everything we do, in plain terms

Window repair and replacement

The cracked pane, the broken door glass, the window that no longer keeps the cold where it belongs. This is the biggest part of our work, and the window repair and replacement page covers all of it.

Foggy and failed-seal windows

Fog between the two panes of a double-pane window means the seal has failed, and the fix is usually a new sealed glass unit rather than a whole new window. Start at the window repair page.

Shower doors

Framed, semi-frameless, or frameless, with the final measure taken after your tile is done. Options and process live on the shower door installation page.

Glass railings

Tempered panels for decks, stairs, and balconies, at home or at work. The glass railing page covers the systems and what keeps them safe.

Emergency glass repair

For glass that can't wait until Monday. The emergency line answers nights and weekends, and the emergency glass repair page walks through what happens after you call.

Board-up service

Plywood cut to the opening so the building stays closed up while replacement glass is on order. It's part of the emergency service, day or night.

Storefront glass

Front windows and entry glass for shops, with the board-up handled first when it's needed. The storefront glass repair page is written for the owner standing in front of the break.

Commercial glass

Glass for offices, restaurants, and retail spaces beyond the front window. The commercial glass repair page is the place to start.

The parts of town we cover

We work out of SE Portland, so Sellwood, Woodstock, Montavilla, and Foster-Powell are close to home, and the rest of the city is ordinary driving: Hawthorne and Division, St. Johns, Alberta, downtown, the Northwest.

The suburbs are regular territory too. Gresham, Tigard, and Lake Oswego each have their own page, and we take calls from Beaverton, Hillsboro, and the rest of the metro as well.

How we run the shop

Estimates are free, measured in person, and written down so you can sit with the number. One small crew handles both the measuring and the installing, and your glass is ordered cut to the opening's exact measurements.

The reviews on our Google profile show how that plays out on real jobs, and they're worth a minute before you decide who to call.

Questions we hear a lot

Do you handle homes and businesses both?

Yes. Residential calls are the bigger share of the work and the schedule favors them, but storefront and commercial glass is steady work for us too. Each side has its own pages above.

What does an estimate cost?

Nothing. We come out, measure on site, and the estimate arrives in writing whether or not you book the work.

Do I need to know what kind of glass I need?

No. Describe what happened and where the glass is. Measuring the opening and matching the glass is our half of the job.

What if the glass breaks at night?

Call the same number, (503) 887-8329. The emergency line runs around the clock, and the emergency page explains what happens from there.

Can you repair glass instead of replacing the whole window?

Often, yes. Plenty of jobs end with new glass going into the existing frame. The window repair page explains when each route makes sense.

One call covers it
