The work we take on
Window glass, old and new
Single panes cut for older wood sashes, sealed double-pane units for newer frames, and the odd sizes in between. Nothing is ordered until it's been measured at your house.
Shower doors and glass railings

Emergency glass and board-up
If glass breaks at night or over a weekend, the emergency line is the number to use. Securing the opening comes first; choosing the right replacement can happen calmly afterward.
Old windows keep their own rules
A window from the 1930s holds its glass differently than one from the 1990s, and the repair is different work in each case. For most older single-pane windows, new glass can be cut to size and set into the original sash, which keeps the window that suits the house. For newer ones, sealed units have exact thicknesses to match. Either way the measuring happens at your place, and the estimate you get is written, free, and specific to that one window.
Custom builds cut both ways: beautiful openings, and not one of them standard. If your house has a transom, a curved top, or a picture window sized to a view, expect the glass to be ordered rather than pulled from stock, and expect us to measure more than once before it is.
What homeowners ask us
Our windows are custom sizes. Is that a problem?
No, it's normal here. Glass is cut or ordered to measurements either way, so an unusual size mostly affects the timeline, not whether the job can be done.
Can you replace a single pane in a divided-light window or door?
If the divisions are real, yes. Each small pane is its own piece of glass and can be replaced on its own. If it's one big pane with a grille laid over it, the glass is replaced as a sheet and the grille goes back on after.
Will new glass look wrong in an original window?
On most panes, no one will ever spot it. Modern glass is flatter and clearer than what older windows were built with, and if the slightly wavy character of the old glass matters to you, say so at the estimate, before anything gets ordered.
Our doors still have their original glass. Is that safe?
Glass in and beside doors is one place the rules have changed for the better. Older doors often carry plain glass, while today's standard for those spots is tempered safety glass, which crumbles instead of throwing shards. When we replace door glass, it gets brought up to that standard.
We're mid-remodel. When should the glass work happen?
Windows can be reglazed whenever the opening is ready. Shower glass is the one to hold: the final measure only happens after tile is finished, and the shower door page lays out that whole sequence.
