The last piece of the remodel
We install shower doors across Portland, measured to the shower you built. The city's housing is a big part of why that measuring matters: plenty of Portland bathrooms live in houses that predate standard sizing, and even brand-new remodels tend to land on layouts no stock door was drawn around.
The doors we hang
Framed doors carry aluminum around every edge of the glass, which makes them the most forgiving style when an opening is out of square, and older Portland openings often are. Semi-frameless doors keep the metal where the structure needs it and leave the rest open glass. Frameless doors use thicker tempered panels with minimal hardware, and they ask for the most exact measuring of the three.
Whichever style the bathroom calls for, the panels themselves are tempered safety glass. Choosing between the three is a real decision with real trade-offs, and we walk through all of it on our shower door installation page, including the questions worth asking any installer before you hire one.
Getting the timing right
Final measurements happen after your tile is finished, and the full step-by-step of how the order and install run lives on the installation page. What matters at this stage is simpler: once your tile has a finish date, call. We'll come look at the opening, leave a written estimate at no charge, and get the glass moving so the door isn't what holds the bathroom up.
The quote follows the glass and the geometry: panel thickness, the hardware and finish you pick, and whether the glass is a clean rectangle or has to be cut to follow the opening. If a contractor is running your remodel, we're glad to coordinate the measure with their schedule so the handoff from tile to glass is clean.
Quick questions
Can you replace an existing shower door?
Yes. If the old door has quit sliding, leaks at the seals, or just dates the room, we measure the existing opening the same way we would on a fresh remodel.
Do you only work on full remodels?
No. Swapping the door on an otherwise untouched bathroom gets the same treatment: a measure visit, a written estimate, and glass ordered to fit that opening.
What's the upkeep on the glass?
A squeegee after showers and ordinary glass cleaner now and then. The hardware wants nothing more than a wipe-down.
