Usually it's just the glass
The long version of when repair beats replacement is on our window repair and replacement page.
What we replace around Beaverton
Beaverton's neighborhoods cover a lot of building eras, and the glass follows. Older houses around Old Town still carry wood sash windows that take single panes cut to size, while the subdivisions that filled in through the seventies, eighties, and nineties mostly hold sealed double-pane units, ordered to match the originals down to the millimeter.
Most of this work is smaller than the phrase "window replacement" suggests: a cracked pane in a living room, broken glass in a back door, a patio slider, a garage window. Door glass and anything close to the floor gets tempered safety glass by code, and we order it that way without you having to ask. If a window has fogged up between its panes, that's a failed seal rather than dirt, and our foggy windows write-up explains how we sort those out.
Getting a number
Two windows that look identical from the street can take very different glass, and that difference is most of what a quote comes down to. We come out, identify exactly what your window holds, and leave a written estimate at no charge. Stock glass moves quickly; sealed units are built for your specific window, so they take longer, and you'll have that timeline in writing before anything is ordered.
If efficiency is part of why you're replacing, say so when we measure. A failed or single-pane window gives up far more heat than the wall around it, and a sound double-pane unit closes most of that gap.
Getting out to Beaverton
We're based in SE Portland, and Beaverton sits comfortably inside the area we cover, along with its neighbors, Tigard and Hillsboro among them. Saturday morning hours are on the schedule too, for the breaks that wait politely until the weekend. And if glass breaks in a way that can't wait at all, the emergency line runs around the clock; our emergency glass and board-up page explains how that works.
Our Google reviews run five stars across the board, and they're worth a skim if you want to know how these calls usually go before you make one.
